Jong-nam murder: Give police, forensic unit time to complete autopsy report, says Subra

KUALA LUMPUR: The police and Forensic Department should be given time and space to complete the autopsy report on Kim Jong-nam, half brother of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un.

Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr S. Subramaniam said, once the forensics team has the toxicology results, they will be disclosed to the public.

"Once the forensics team obtain the results and are comfortable with the cause, only then will the report will be conveyed to the police.

"It is then up to the police to take the next line of action," he said today.

Dr Subramaniam said the process is being handled by the police, with the ministry only acting on the directives of the police.

Last Monday, Jong-Nam was allegedly poisoned by two women, said to be North Korean operatives, at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2 (KLIA2).

He was due to board a morning flight to Macau when an unknown woman wiped his face with a cloth, laced with unidentified liquid.
