Pas tells dissident Pokok Sena MP to leave party

ALOR STAR: Pokok Sena member of Parliament Datuk Mahfuz Omar should leave Pas if he finds that he is no longer on the same wavelength with the party's mission and vision.

The message was delivered by Pas Pokok Sena division acting chief Romani Wan Salin and several other division committee members this morning, following Mahfuz’s ongoing attack on the party, including questioning Pas’ decision not to cooperate with other opposition parties.

He said as a member, Mahfuz has contravened the party's constitution by badmouthing Pas while sharing a platform with Parti Amanah Rakyat, Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (PPBM), DAP and PKR, which are at odds with Pas.

"We are saddened and ashamed by his actions because he claimed that he was representing (Pas Pokok Sena), when we do not agree with what he said.

"If he doesn't love the party anymore, he should leave and join other parties to his liking," Romani told reporters in a press conference.

He said in Jan, the division committee came to a decision to stop Mahfuz from carrying out his duties as the division chief, following his actions.

Romani added that the division has also informed Pas’ disciplinary committee about the matter.

"Instead of waiting to be sacked from the party, it is better for him to leave of his own accord," he added.
