MIRI: The body of a male teacher who fell off a long boat during a ride along Rajang River last Sunday was found yesterday afternoon.
Bintulu Fire and Rescue Department chief, Di-Hatta Gobel said the body of Michael Usat Emang, 59, was found by a search and rescue team at 4pm.
“The body had no visible signs of decomposition was found in Punan Sama area,” he said when met today.
The primary school teacher was on his way to Sekolah Kebangsaan Nanga Telawan, Belaga with his wife after attending a funeral in Punan Sama on Sunday.
The boat they were travelling in reportedly hit a floating log causing the victim to fall into the river while his wife managed to swim ashore. – BERNAMA
