PM visits 'Jom Bantu Rakyat' participants in Bachok

BACHOK: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak visited the homes of three participants of the 'Jom Bantu Rakyat' programme here today.

Accompanied by several state Umno leaders, Najib first visited a house at Kampung Melawi, where he spent about 15 minutes chatting with residents there.

He next visited the home of a villager in Kampung Bator.

Finally, Najib and his delegates walked to the third house, about 200 metres away, and spent about 15 minutes talking to homeowner Hassan Kassim, 67.

With the Prime Minister were state Umno liaision committee Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamed, state federal development department director Datuk Makhtar Mustapa and other leaders.

The 'Jom Bantu Rakyat’ programme is an initiative by the government to help the low-income group.

Najib later proceeded to Bachok Hospital, where he is scheduled to attend the ground breaking ceremony of the new facility.
