KUALA LUMPUR: A van driver was today charged at the magistrate's court here with outraging a woman's modesty in a Cheras apartment elevator.
Mohamad Syahrul Azizi Shah Fri, 28, is accused of masturbating inside the elevator and ejaculating onto a woman.
The woman was a 33-year-old civil servant.
Clad in an orange T-shirt, Mohamad Syahrul Azizi Shah Fri, 28, who stood in the dock, kept a straight face as the interpreter reads out his charge.
The accused however pleaded not guilty to the offence.
Syahrul was accused of committing the offence inside an elevator at Block E, Tasik Height Apartment, Bandar Tasik Selatan, Cheras here at 7.50am on March 16.
His charge under Section 377D of the Penal Code carries a maximum sentence of two years jail, if convicted.
Magistrate Mahyudin Mohmad Som allowed RM2,500 bail with one surety and fixed April 14 for mention.
He also ordered for the accused to stay away from the victim.
Deputy public prosecutor Nur Farah Adilah Noordin prosecuted while the accused was represented by counsel Azi Azlin Zulkifli.
