Zahid attends 'doa selamat' for LIMA '17

LANGKAWI: Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and a congregation of about 500 people at the Masjid Aishah in Kuah town, held a 'doa selamat’ session tonight to pray for the smooth sailing of the Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace 2017 (LIMA'17) exhibition.

Zahid arrived at the mosque about 7pm before leading the Maghrib prayers there.

After prayers, the congregation recited the Yaasin followed by special prayers for LIMA'17.

Also present were Defence Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein, Kedah chief minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Bashah Md Hanipah, and Langkawi member of Parliament Datuk Nawawi Ahmad.

LIMA'17, which starts tomorrow until March 25, will see the participation of 555 maritime and aviation exhibitors from both the military and commercial sector.

It is expected to draw over 180,000 trade and public visitors from all over the world.
