Ejen Ali launches books and magazines to please young fans

KUALA LUMPUR: The award-winning local series Ejen Ali has launched a range of merchandises to complement the show.

Fans of Ejen Ali can now grab hold of the agent’s comic book as well as activity and colouring books.

The launch of these merchandises banks on Ejen Ali’s popularity, which is currently at an all-time high, said Media Prima Berhad tonton & Licensing and Merchandising Director, Airin Zainul.

These were launched as the brand was currently on an all-time high amongst its set of captivated audience, said.

“It has assumed the position of an influencer where Malaysian kids are concerned,” she said.

“With this new important role, we see a great opportunity to build in strong values from the show to our consumer products strategy.

“The publishing line is our first go-to category to be released.

“We hope fans will immerse themselves and have great fun completing missions from the available books and magazines while we develop and expand various categories,” she said, adding that they would be growing their line by year end.

Ejen Ali has already made waves with its phenomenal achievements by reaching a high viewership of more than two million on TV3 and one million on tonton.

Touted as Media Prima Berhad’s first venture into animation, Ejen Ali was the first intellectual property it co-owns with the WAU Animation Sdn Bhd.

The series’ remarkable feat had spurred its foray into the digital world with the development of mobile gaming apps, Ejen Ali MATA Training Academy and Ejen Ali Emergency, which has chalked up more than 1.2 million downloads to date.

The merchandises will be officially launched at the Bananana! Land booth during the Jom Heboh carnival slated to take place at Bukit Jalil on March 25.
