GTA investing in RM50 million Subang manufacturing facility

LANGKAWI: Malaysian aerospace maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) company, Global Turbine Asia Sdn Bhd (GTA), said its RM50 million under-construction manufacturing facility, on an 8-acre piece of land in Subang, will be completed in 2019.

The company said in a media release that the new facility is in line with its intention to expand its manufacturing activities for M88 engine tools and aircraft parts.

“We are investing RM50 million on the facility’s infrastructure, machinery, equipment as well as on training,” GTA chairman and chief executive officer Datuk Nonee Ashirin Mohd Radzi said at the Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition (LIMA’17).

“The facility will create job opportunities and has received significant support from key institutional bodies such as the Malaysian Industrial Development Authority (MIDA), the National Aerospace Industry Coordinating Office (NAICO), the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) and Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad (MAHB),” she said.
