Oral care brand Jordan marks 180th anniversary by making M'sian kids smile

KUALA LUMPUR: To mark its 180th anniversary, oral care brand Jordan brought gifts to 300 children hospitalised at the Paediatric Institute of the General Hospital Kuala Lumpur (HKL) yesterday.

The household-name brand also visited 40 selected primary schools in the Klang Valley to extend good oral health and dental hygiene tips to a total of 25,000 children.

Most exciting of all, Jordan launched the nationwide colouring contest “Finding Jordan Picasso,” designed to encourage Malaysian children between the ages of six and 12 to showcase their creativity-cum-colouring talents.

Up to RM30,000 worth of prizes stand to be won, and champions will be announced at a prize-giving ceremony in late May.

Eric Yong, Jordan Asia Pacific Sdn Bhd’s market manager for Malaysia, Thailand and Taiwan said: “In Malaysia, the brand has chosen to work closely with children, educating them about the fundamentals of good oral care and dental hygiene.

"How can we inspire children to start good lifelong habits and brush regularly?

“Jordan’s toothbrush range for children of different ages is designed with select features in its bristles, head-size and handles. They are tailor-made to brush milk teeth, and come in creative designs and colours that would inspire any child to pick up good brushing habits."

Jordan’s award-winning children’s toothbrush range was launched in 2011.

Over the years, the brand has won many global awards for its wide toothbrush range, amongst them, the prestigious international RedDot Design Award in 2016.
