Parking system poser in PandanCahaya

PANDAN Cahaya residents claim they have paid for a parking system that has yet to be implemented by the Ampang Jaya Municipal Council (MPAJ).

A resident, Woon, claimed residents paid RM31.80 for monthly pa rking vouchers since February but visitors still entered the area and parked for free.

“In a way, the residents are losing out because the parking is still free for visitors,” Woon said.

He hopes the municipal council can explain the situation as many residents have bought the vouchers.

ACTIONLINE

According to the municipal council, the new system has been implemented and those who park their vehicles without the vouchers will be booked.

A spokesman from MPAJ said action had been taken as soon as the coupon parking system took effect in February.

“Vehicles must display the parking coupons when parked in the area. As such, many compound summonses have been issued.

“MPAJ will, however, increase checks in Pandan Cahaya and Taman Lembah Maju areas.”
