Teresa Kok: MACC visit not a raid, full cooperation given

KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) had visited Teresa Kok’s office in Kuchai Lama today.

The Seputeh MP said that MACC officers had asked for files related to the Skim Mesra Usia Emas (SMUE) under Yayasan Warisan Anak Selangor (Yawas).

“They (the officers) came to take the files on SMUE. We gave our full cooperation and handed them the photocopied files,” she said when contacted by the New Straits Times.

Teresa stressed that the visit was not a raid as claimed by some online portals.

“If it was a raid, they would surely check all the drawers in my office. That did not happen nor did they arrest me.”

Recently, Red Shirt leader Datuk Seri Jamal Yunos claimed that three politicians including Teresa had misused Yawas funds for personal gains.

Teresa said she had nothing to fear and will give full cooperation to the authority in their investigation.
