JOHOR BARU: Country Garden Central Park, a 21.5ha development comprising condominiums nestled among lush greenery and strategically-located near the Johor Baru city centre, is targeting local buyers at its Phase 1 launch today.
Unlike the developer’s other properties in Johor, built with international home buyers in mind, Country Garden Central Park offers properties pegged at RM600 per sq ft for the locals.
Its sales and marketing general manager Qian Zhao Yang said this at a press conference at the sales gallery in Taman Damansara Aliff here.
More than 700 units of condominiums, in six different layouts and sizes, are up for sale.
"The turnout is encouraging. During a recent soft-launch, there were about 300 enquiries.
"One of the highlights of the development is a 6.3ha park which is open to the public. Joggers who embark on two rounds of the park would have completed 2.6km.
"Families can also gather here for a barbecue meal, and there is even a mini football field," Qian said.
The township, jointly built by Country Garden Holdings Co Ltd and Damansara Realty Bhd, will be managed by a joint-venture company, DAC Properties Sdn Bhd.
A Country Garden Holdings subsidiary, Country Garden Management Sdn Bhd holds a 70 per cent stake in DAC Properties, while Damansara Realty Johor Sdn Bhd has a 30 per cent stake.
This is Country Garden's fourth project in Malaysia. The others are Country Garden Danga Bay, Forest City, both in Johor, and Country Garden Diamond City in Semenyih, Selangor.
