PUTRAJAYA: Parti Cinta Malaysia (PCM) deputy president Datuk Huan Cheng Guan arrived at the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) headquarters here today to submit what he claims is evidence of malfeasance related to the controversial Penang undersea tunnel project.
Huan was seen holding several thick documents, which he confirmed to reporters would be submitted to the anti-graft buster.
However, he declined to elaborate on the contents of the documents and the evidence he had collected.
"We compiled everything we could and are handing them over to the MACC for further investigation.
"We should let the MACC probe the case," he said before entering the MACC headquarters.
Huan claimed that new evidence had been collected from various sources, but he declined to provide details on them.
When asked if he had named any prominent figures in the evidence he submitted, he reiterated that he will let the MACC handle the matter.
Huan was accompanied by several people as he made his way into the MACC building.
The PCM deputy president had reportedly lodged a police report in Penang on Monday, urging the authorities to look into the Penang government's undersea tunnel project and three paired roads project.
But an injunction was filed by the project contractor, Consortium Zenith BUCG Sdn Bhd, to stop Huan from making further statements on the project.
Judge Datuk Rosilah Yop had fixed Sept 14 to determine whether Huan could continue to make statements on the Penang undersea tunnel project in future.
