JOHOR BARU: Two youths were charged at the magistrate’s court here today with the murder of a security officer last month.
They face the death penalty if convicted.
Fong Ling Chiow, 20 and Leong Zhong Hen, 19, are accused of murdering security company officer Na Kuan Yaw, 25, in front of a nightclub at Jalan Austin Heights 8/2 on Aug 25 at around 2.30am.
They are accused of committing the offence with three others who are still at large.
Fong and Leong were charged under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
No plea was recorded after the charge was read in Mandarin to the two accused before magistrate Mohd Azlan Shah Mohd Allias.
Prosecuting the case was Deputy Public Prosecutor Muhammad Shafiq Mohd Ghazali, while the accused were not represented.
