Warisan's hospital-bound Peter Anthony released from remand

KOTA KINABALU: Parti Warisan Sabah vice president Datuk Peter Anthony was this morning released from remand by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC).

Peter was released on RM50,000 MACC bail (un-deposited), with two sureties.

His release procedure was conducted in front of magistrate Cindy Mc Juce Balitus at a private hospital in Damai here.

Cindy arrived at 9.40am and left the hospital, where Peter is being treated, 10 minutes later.

The MACC was represented by prosecuting officer Mohd Faliq Basirudin.

Peter was arrested last week as part of the MACC’s probe into the mishandling of federal-funded projects in Sabah, which led to his remand on Friday and an extension on Tuesday.

He was admitted to the hospital on Tuesday night for treatment.
