Farmer prays for return of 240 stolen lambs and 5 buffaloes

JEMPOL: A farmer in Sungai Sebaling here is praying for the safe return of his 240 lambs and five buffaloes, believed to have been stolen from his farm here early this morning

Jempol district police chief superintendent Muhd ​​Nur Hishamuddin Hashim said the 36-year-old victim realised this when he conducted a check at his farm at 2.40am.

"He found about 240 lambs and five buffaloes missing from their pens. The victim claimed that he noticed lorry tyre tracks near the pens and found syringes believed to have been used by the suspect to sedate the buffaloes," he said.

Muhd Nur Hishamuddin said the victim saw three lorries enter the farm area prior to the incident but had thought that the lorries were carrying oil palm saplings.

"We have conducted checks at the farm and we are trying to locate the suspects. We urged anyone with information on the missing lambs and buffaloes to contact Ladang Geddes police station at 06-46112222 or Jempol District Headquarters (IPD) at 06-4583449," he said.
