KUALA LUMPUR: A 25-year-old actor was arrested for taking and being in possession of ganja three days ago.
The actor’s car was flagged down by a team from Wangsa Maju narcotics criminal investigation department at a petrol station near Taman Setiawangsa around 1.30am.
City police chief Datuk Mazlan Lazim said following inspection of the car, an aluminium tin containing a transparent packet filled with 5.97g of ganja was found under the car seat.
“There were three men in the car. Also found was a modified plastic bottle believed to be used by them to consume ganja.
“The men were taken to police station and they were all tested positive for ganja,” he said today.
Mazlan said the trio were released on police bail on Sunday.
The case was under investigation.
