Drug pushers nabbed, RM10k worth of drugs seized in 2-day swoop

SEREMBAN: Police crippled a drug-pushing syndicate with the arrest of three men in a two day operation here.

Packets of crystal like substance believed to be heroin and syabu methamphetamine worth RM10,000 on the streets were also recovered from them.

District police chief Assistant Commissioner Thiew Hock Poh said the three men aged between 28 and 39 were held on Jan 18 and Jan 19.

"All suspects have been remanded for seven days to assist investigations under the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952,” he said.

Thiew said police in their probe into the drug-pushing syndicate were led to the arrest of two men in Taman Jasmin, Senawang on Jan 18.

"Checks conducted in the suspects' car found 69 glossy plastic packs believed to be heroin weighing 240 grams, as well as a packet of drug believed to be a 12.5g methamphetamine.

"Further investigation had led to the arrest of another suspect aged 38 on Friday, who was detained after his car skidded while trying to escape from the police at Taman Bidara, Rahang here, about 9am.

"Police found a bag containing a 22 gram of heroin, three packet of methamphetamine weighing nine grams and a digital weighing device," he said in a statement here.

He said following to the second suspect's arrest, police were led to a rented room at Taman Ming Ho, Rahang here, where the team discovered six large plastic packs believed to be heroin weighing 105.19 grams and five packets of 7.4 grams methamphetamine as well as some equipment used for to pack drugs.
