KOTA KINABALU: Two men who were caught littering were nabbed for failing to appear in court after being summoned by the Kota Kinabalu City Hall enforcement team.
The duo, aged 19 and 35, were arrested at their own houses at Sembulan and Bandaran Berjaya near here respectively.
Deputy City Hall director general (Operations) Noorliza Awang Alip said an operation to arrest dodgers who failed to answer their summonses involved 16 personnel and three officers from City Hall as well as the police.
He said the team had targetted to arrest 18 people who had outstanding warrants for failing to appear in court.
“The duo will be brought to court for further action,” she said when met during the operation in Sembulan here this morning.
She said the authority faced difficulties in locating the others as they had relocated and there was no information on their workplaces.
However, she said City Hall would continue to look for them.
