They were accused of persuading Letchumanan into handing over RM1.06 million at Wisma Thiviya Builders Sdn Bhd, Jalan SP 2/4 Taman Serdang Perdana, Seri Kembangan near here, in September 2016.

They were charged under Section 420 of the Penal Code together with Section 34 of the same Act and were looking at a maximum of 10 years jail, whipping and fine if found guilty.

During the proceeding, Deputy Public Prosecutor Ashyraf Ashy'ari Kamaruzaman suggested RM100,000 bail with one surety for each the accused.

Defence lawyer, M Manoharan and Lily Chua, who were representing Mohd Nasir and Nazhatul Syahira requested for a lower bail, saying that they have three children and a mother to take care of.
