Burglars use luxury cars to fool guards into letting them into gated communities in Subang Jaya

SUBANG JAYA: Police are on the hunt for four men who use luxury vehicles to fool security guards into letting them into gated communities where they would then break into homes.

The men have so far broken into two homes in USJ Heights and attempted to break into two more but failed.

District police chief Assistant Commissioner Muhammad Azlin Sadari said the men who enter the gated community about 7pm to “case” the area before deciding which houses to target.

“They broke into two homes in USJ Heights and carted away electronic items and valuables worth about RM90,000. They also tried to break into two other homes but failed to do so and eventually gave up.

“Police are now looking for the four men. They are believed to be in their 30s. We are looking at closed-circuit television (CCTV) camera footage from the area to identify them,” he said.

Azlin said police were also checking if the car they used belonged to them or had been reported stolen recently.
