Former company director charged with CBT involving Rm8.6 million

JOHOR BARU: A former executive director of a company was charged in the Sessions Court here today with seven counts of criminal breach of trust (CBT) involving more than RM8.6 million belonging to the company.

See Chou Shon, 59, however, pleaded not guilty to all the charges before judge Aizatul Akmal Maharani.

The man, then an executive director at Superplas Technology (M) Sdn Bhd, was charged with committing the offence by making payments amounting to RM8,683,166.46 into his RHB Bank account.

The offences were allegedly committed at the company premises at No. 3, Jalan Penaga, Sri Alam, between Dec 16, 2008 and Jan 1, 2014.

The charge, framed under Section 409 of the Penal Code, provides an imprisonment for up to 20 years and whipping and fine, if found guilty.

Aizatul Akmah allowed See bail of RM250,000 in one surety, with RM50,000 to be paid today, and the remaining RM200,000 before Nov 8.

She also ordered See to surrender his passport to the court and set Nov 21 for mention.

Deputy public prosecutor Nor Farhana Adham prosecuted, while lawyer G. Ravi, represented See.
