Cops probing Tajuddin's missing face mask

KUALA LUMPUR: Police are investigating Prasarana Malaysia Berhad chairman Datuk Seri Tajuddin Abdul Rahman for not wearing a face mask during a press conference on the LRT collision yesterday.

Dang Wangi police chief Assistant Commissioner Mohamad Zainal Abdullah in a statement said the investigation was carried out based on a video that went viral on social media, showing Tajuddin not wearing a face mask at a press conference.

The press conference was held after he visited the location where two LRT trains along the Kelana Jaya line were involved in a collision on Monday night.

He said the investigation was carried out under Section 21A of the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases Act 1988 (Act 342) and Regulation 17 of the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases (Measures within the Infected Local Areas) Regulations 2021.

"All those involved in this case will be called to the Dang Wangi district police headquarters to have their statements taken soon," he said in the statement.
