KOTA BARU: A three-year-old boy from Kampung Sri Bintang near Kuala Krai is in critical condition after doctors found drugs inside his body yesterday.
Kelantan acting police chief Datuk Muhamad Zaki Harun said following the incident, police have detained a 30-year-old drug addict who is the victim's uncle.
Police were informed about the incident by a doctor from Kuala Krai hospital who treated the child yesterday.
"Police received the report from the hospital about 5am yesterday and immediately sent a team to investigate.
"Police were informed by the doctor who treated the boy that the drugs found in his body were of methamphetamine type," he said.
He added the boy was later transferred to Raja Perempuan Zainab hospital in Kota Baru.
