KUALA LUMPUR: Ten people have been detained in connection with the theft of RM4.6 million in casino chips from Genting Highlands on Oct 28.
Pahang police chief Datuk Yahaya Othman said the 10 were nabbed in a series of operations after initial police investigations into the theft.
"Investigations are still ongoing to determine the identities of the suspect or suspects involved. We have not ruled out the possibility of making more arrests based on leads that we have gotten," he told Berita Harian.
On Friday, Bentong police had confirmed receiving a report from casino security officials of the theft of the chips at 6.30pm on Oct 28.
