Police on the hunt for person who urinated on parking pole at Subang Jaya supermarket

KUALA LUMPUR: The police have identified and are actively tracking down an individual who urinated on a parking pole at a supermarket in Subang Jaya.

Subang Jaya police chief Assistant Commissioner Wan Azlan Wan Mamat said a police officer stationed at the USJ8 police station came across a 50-second viral video capturing the man's actions on Sunday.

He said further investigation revealed that the incident took place at a supermarket in Subang Jaya on Nov 16, where the suspect was seen wearing a black shirt and grey shorts, urinating on the side of a parking pole before heading towards a blue Mazda car.

"In the video, there was a conversation between the recorder and the suspect, where the latter mentioned the availability of a restroom and the suspect only apologised before leaving.

"The case is classified as indecent behaviour under Section 14 of the Minor Offences Act 1955 (Act 336). The suspect has been identified and is currently being pursued to assist in the investigation," Wan Azlan said in a statement today.

The police strongly advise the public to refrain from engaging in activities that can bring disgrace and distress to the general public.

He also urged anyone with information related to the case to come forward and cooperate with the police by contacting the Subang Jaya district control centre at 03-78627100 or Inspector Norhishamuddin Hamdan directly at 010-2494819.
