Lawyer confirms Wahab will meet cops for questioning today

KUALA LUMPUR: Community Communications (J-KOM) Department staff Abdul Wahab Abdul Kadir Jilani will finally meet authorities today.

Wahab's lawyer, Faizal Rahman told New Straits Times that he would be at Bukit Aman this afternoon to give his statement.

"Yes, confirm," Faizal briefly said.

Previously, it was reported that Wahab had to postpone his meeting with the police as he was grappling with depression.

This follows the spread of an allegedly doctored video clip involving former Community Communications (J-KOM) Department Datuk Dr Mohammad Agus Yusoff and him.

His lawyer said that he had a consultation with a psychiatrist but declined to explain further.

Earlier, Criminal Investigation Department (CID) director Datuk Seri Mohd Shuhaily Mohd Zain said that the police were still waiting for Wahab to step forward and assist with the investigation.
