KOTA BARU: Police have opened an investigation into a sexual harassment allegation involving a senior officer of a government agency in Kelantan.
The investigation was opened soon after a police report was made on Jan 21.
The report was lodged by a man, in his 50s, at Kubang Kerian police station.
The report stated that the agency's female staff had been harassed by the officer at the agency's office last year.
When contacted, Kota Baru police chief, Assistant Commissioner Mohd Rosdi Daud confirmed that police had received the report from the man who was a relative to the woman.
He said police were investigating the case under Section 354 of the Penal Code.
