Bleeding profusely, but wounded man drives to police station to save himself after attack at fishing pond

RAWANG: A man wounded in an attack by three men in a fishing pond in Bandar Country Homes managed to drive 3km to a police station in order to save himself.

Police later took the 47-year-old to Sungai Buloh Hospital for treatment.

Gombak police chief Assistant Commissioner Noor Ariffin Mohamad Nasir said the man, who was bleeding profusely, lodged a report at 6.48pm at the Bandar Country Homes police station.

"Investigations revealed that the victim was fishing at the pond about 5pm when three men armed with sharp weapons attacked him. After being wounded, he managed to escape and drove to the police station," he said.

Policemen on duty at the station aided the man.

"The victim was then taken by ambulance to Sungai Buloh Hospital for treatment. Doctors confirmed he had been wounded in the arms, his back and shoulder," said Noor Ariffin.

He said the victim was reported to be in stable condition, adding that the case was being investigated under Section 324 of the Penal Code for voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapons or means.
