JOHOR BARU: A 61-year-old man was found dead with multiple stab wounds in Taman Rinting, in Masai, yesterday.
Johor police chief Commissioner M.Kumar said police arrested five men within several hours after the stabbing, to assist with investigations.
The suspects aged between 35 and 48, were flushed out of hiding in several housing estates in the state's capital.
Kumar said the suspects, who had previous drug-related and criminal records were remanded to facilitate investigation under Section 302 of the Penal code for murder.
Several belongings of the victims were seized from the suspects. It was established that the items belonged to the victim.
The body was sent to the Sultan Ismail Hospital for a post-mortem examination.
