PETALING JAYA: Police have remanded a 27-year-old teacher over an alleged sexual assault of a student in Kota Damansara.
Petaling Jaya police chief Assistant Commissioner Shahrulnizam Jaafar @ Ismail said the teacher would be remanded until April 10.
He said the incident took place on March 22 at a shopping mall toilet.
The victim lodged a report on Friday.
The case is being investigated under Section 14(1)a of the Sexual Offences Against Children 2017 and Section 377A of the Penal Code.
