KLIA shooting: Suspect had three prior records, police confirm

PUTRAJAYA: The suspect of a shooting incident at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) Terminal 1 early this morning had three past criminal records.

Federal police Criminal Investigation Department director Datuk Seri Mohd Shuhaily Mohd Zain said the suspect had two past records for intimidation (Section 506 of the Penal Code) one for theft and impersonating a civil servant (Section 380/Section 170 of Penal Code).

Earlier today, a bodyguard was seriously injured after being shot at Terminal 1.

Selangor police chief Datuk Hussein Omar Khan in a statement said the incident occurred at 1.30am this morning at the arrival hall of the airport.
