IPOH: Former state Commercial Crime Investigation Department (CCID) chief Superintendent Lee Ewe Kiang ended his service as a policeman today with great memories.
Lee completed his duty after having serving 38 years with the force.
“Working in Perak was the most wonderful experience for me. I have no regrets as everyone works as a team here.
“Today, I am retired but I am not expired. I will open a firm and become a lawyer. I will continue to serve the people,” said Lee, who holds a degree in law from Universiti Islam Antarabangsa (UIA).
The 60-year-old was honoured at a simple handing over function here at the Perak police contingent headquarters.
Former Sabah Commercial Crime Investigation Department chief Superintendent Md Razif Alang Mat Jaya will take over Lee’s role effective today.
Md Razif, 53, has served as the Commercial Crime Investigation Unit chief in Ampang Jaya before he was transferred and promoted to Sabah as a Commercial Crime Investigation Department deputy chief and chief, for eight years.
Perak police chief Datuk Hasnan Hassan who was at the event said that he believes Md Razif is capable of carrying out Lee’s excellent duty.
