2021 Budget: RM35 million to go to domestic health tourism

KUALA LUMPUR: The government has proposed to set aside RM35 million under the 2021 Budget to enhance the competitiveness of the country's domestic health tourism industry.

Finance Minister Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz said the allocation will be distributed to the Malaysia Healthcare Travel Council.

"The government will also extend the tax exemption imposed on private healthcare services export until the year 2022," he said.
