ALOR STAR: Kedah Barisan Nasional is mobilising social media activists to dispel lies spread by the opposition.
Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Ahmad Bashah Md Hanipah acknowledged that social media activists or cybertroopers also play important role in defending BN policies and struggles.
“Besides the traditional battle, this upcoming 14th General Election is also about winning psychological war in the cyber-sphere, the closer the general polls gets, the cyber war will also heat up with many issues played up by the opposition,” he told reporters after presenting aid to fishermen and needy people during his one-day visit to Kuala Kedah Parliamentary constituency today.
More than 7,000 people received a total of RM16.105 million in aid and grants allocated by several agencies including Fisheries Development Authority (LKIM), Welfare Department and also the Kota Setar district office.
Bashah said BN cyber troopers will fight back all the lies and slanders spread by the opposition against the BN government.
Bashah added that Kedah BN is ready to face the general election, no matter when it would be held.
He said all machinery has been put on alert for the election.
“I hope voters will make a good use of the power to elect the government granted to them. Do not get misled by the lies spread by the opposition, as BN has a proven track record in developing the country and looking after the people's welfare.” he said.
