KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak today launched the Umno Flag Run and official stamp in conjunction with the party's 71st anniversary.
After the launching ceremony, Najib, who is also Umno president, handed over the party flag to all 12 Umno state liaison committee chairmen.
He also handed over state flags to the respective state Umno Youth chiefs, who will be heading the Ummo Flag Run concurrently in all states on May 1.
Najib later signed his name on a special banner in support of a campaign to collect one million signatures from Umno members, in conjunction with the party's anniversary.
The launch was held at the Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC) here this evening.
Present were Umno vice-presidents Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein, secretary-general Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor and Wanita chief Tan Sri Shahrizat Abdul Jalil.
