King Salman hosts luncheon for Najib in Riyadh

RIYADH: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak and Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor held an audience with Saudi Arabia’s King Salman Abdulaziz Al Saud at King Salman Palace here Monday.

The prime minister and his wife met the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques at 2.30pm (7.30pm Malaysian time) where Najib held a discussion with the monarch before the King hosted the luncheon for the Malaysian delegation.

The delegation included Defence Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein, who is also Minister with Special Functions in the Prime Minister’s Department, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department, Datuk Seri Jamil Khir Baharom, and Malaysian Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Datuk Zainol Rahim Zainuddin.

Saudi Arabia Deputy Crown Prince Muhammad Salman and Saudi Arabian cabinet members were also present.

Najib is on the final leg of a three-day working visit to Saudi Arabia. King Salman, Najib, United States President Donald Trump and more than 50 Arab and Muslim leaders attended the Arab Islamic US Summit at the King Abdulaziz International Convention Centre here on Sunday, while His Majesty was in Malaysia late February for a four-day state visit. – BERNAMA
