KUALA LUMPUR: Traffic flow along major routes to the east coast and northern parts of the peninsula as of 10am is reported to be slow in both directions.

A Malaysian Highway Authority (MHA) spokesman said traffic, stretching from the Gombak toll plaza to Lentang, began to build up about 3am and is expected to persist till late this evening.

Nevertheless, he said, traffic flow along other routes to the east coast, including the East Coast Expressway 2, is reported to be smooth.
