Johor Port Authority: PTP has complied with SOP on military shipment

Port JOHOR BARU: Johor Port Authority general manager Muhammad Razif Ahmad has come into the Port of Tanjung Pelepas (PTP) defence stating that the port has complied with the Strategic Trade Act 2010 standard operating procedures with regards to the missing military shipment.

In a statement Razif explained that the container initially reported missing during the transhipment process at PTP did not occur.

“In fact the said good was in good handling at all times by PTP and were monitored by the port management and all relevant agencies,” he said.

Razif said the high-tech military radar equipment which was shipped via a ship identified Emma Maersk on June 3 had safely been delivered to Netherlands.

“During the entire process of transhipment our findings revealed that the PTP management had complied with the Standard Operation Procedure as required by the Strategic Trade Act 2010,” he said.

He added PTP had given its full co-operation to the Customs Department during the agency reinforcement of the act standard operation practices.
