BATU KAWAN: The two-day Toyota GAZOO Racing (TGR) festival which kicked-off here yesterday has proven to be an unqualified hit, with thousands of visitors flocking to the event venue.
Around 10,755 visitors and guests have been revelling in the event’s carnival-like environment, which was charged up by exciting activities such as dance performances, cheerleading routines, band performances, games, flash-mobs, celebrity appearances and exclusive giveaways.
The TGR also saw the first-of-its-kind Vios Challenge, featuring celebrity drivers such as Fattah Amin, Shukri Yahaya, Janna Nick, Diana Danielle, Geraldine Gan, Danny Koo, Venice Min and Shawn Lee, as well as top local drivers – all competing in identical Toyota Vios on purpose-built race tracks.
Elsewhere, guests were served a thrilling showcase of car racing, despite the damp Batu Kawan weather.
The all-new Toyota C-HR not only made its debut in the display tent, it also led a convoy of Toyota AE86 owners around the Batu Kawan circuit.
Yesterday, participants of the 1st promotional category race completed their inaugural event with big smiles on their faces.
