Isa Samad's house raided: MACC Chief Commissioner Dzulkifli

KOTA BARU: The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has raided the house of former Felda Global Ventures Holdings Bhd (FGV) chairman Tan Sri Isa Samad in Selangor.

MACC chief commissioner Datuk Dzulkifli Ahmad said the raid was part of the process to in the on going probe into the Felda Investment Corporation (FIC) hotel purchases.

"It (the raid) is a normal procedure in MACC investigation to obtain files or documents related to the case.

"I am not able disclose here whether there will be more arrest in future as investigation is still on-going," he told reporters after witnessing corruption-free pledge by NGOs and Parent-Teacher Association at Industrial Training Institute in Pengkalan Chepa here tonight.

Dzulkifli said Isa is expected to be remanded tomorrow.

"Let’s wait for further development on the case," he said.

About 250 people were involved in the pledge tonight. Also present was state MACC director Datuk Moh Samsuddin Yusof.

Isa was arrested today when he turned up at the MACC headquarters to have his statement recorded.

His arrest was to facilitate the ongoing investigation into Felda Investment Corporation hotel purchases in London and Kuching.
