Rafizi not up-to-date on FGV probe, says Shahrir

JOHOR BARU: PKR vice president Rafizi Ramli should keep abreast with the progress of the investigations into Felda Global Ventures Bhd's foreign assets, instead of making baseless claims.

Felda chairman Tan Sri Shahrir Abdul Samad said right now, Rafizi appeared to be three months late in terms of his information on the FGV probe.

"Rafizi is three months too late. What was he doing sleeping on the matter three month ago when Malaysian Anti Corruption Commission (MACC) had been digging out information and carrying out their investigations?" said Shahrir after the closing of the Progressive Johor Expo in Kota Iskandar.

He urged Rafizi to furnish information that could help in the investigation and brought it up with the MACC.

"There is no need for him to challenge the investigation or reveal any information on FGV as everything is being done in the open," he said.

Meanwhile, Shahrir said the Johor government allocated RM1.03 million on refurbishing work for religious schools located in the Felda settlements in the state.

He said the move was reflective of the state government's commitment to make Felda inclusive.

"With this effort it shows that Felda is part of Johor for the past 100 years." he said.
