KOTA BARU: Former Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) MP for Tanah Merah, Saupi Daud, died on Saturday due to complications from diabetes. He was 67.
Kelantan PKR chairman Ab Aziz Ab Kadir said Saupi died at his home with his family at his side in Pasir Pekan, Tumpat here at 5am.
“Funeral prayers for his remains were conducted at Ar Rahman Mosque in Pasir Pekan,” he said.
Saupi was Tanah Merah MP from 1999 to 2004.
“His contributions were enormous and we hope his family will be strong in facing their loss,” Ab Aziz added. -- BERNAMA
