Teen girl goes missing after leaving house to meet friend

MUAR: A 13-year old girl has been reported missing after leaving her home in Taman Rambai, Parit Buaya, Muar, at about 5pm on Friday.

Intan Nursyafinaz Roslan, 18, said her youngest sister Intan Nursyahira left for her friend’s house in nearby Kampung Parit Buaya to discuss school work.

Their mother Noraini Abd Rahman received a text message from the friend known as Iffah, who had asked why Nursyahira did not come as promised.

“My mother panicked and called us. My sister left the house while she (mother) was in the toilet while my other sister was in her room and my father and I were at work.

“She carried a bag, school books and about RM8, riding on a black motorcycle,” Nursyafinaz said when contacted yesterday.

According to Nursyafinaz, Nursyahira showed no strange behaviours and was conversing as usual with the family about school a few hours before leaving.

“We did all we could to find her including going around the area and nearby village,” she said.

Members of the public who have seen Nursyahira, fair-skinned and 150cm tall, are urged to call Nursyafinaz at 016-9088593 or 018-2134649.

The disappearance of the teen was also posted on Facebook, with family members pleading for help from the public to trace her.

It is understood that a police report on the disappearance was made by the family last night.
