PM expresses horror over terror attack on Egyptian mosque

KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak has expressed his horror over a terror attack at a mosque in Egypt on Friday which killed at least 235 people.

It is the deadliest terrorist attack in modern Egypt’s history.

"Horrified by the attack on innocent worshippers at al-Rawda mosque in Egypt. My thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their loved ones," Najib said in his latest tweet on Saturday.

International media have reported that at least 235 worshippers were killed and 100 others were wounded in the shooting and bombing attack on the mosque in North Sinai province during Friday prayers.

No group has claimed responsibility over the attack. — BERNAMA
