Sultan of Johor accorded state welcome at Bahrain's Ministry of Interior

MANAMA: The Sultan of Johor Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar was given a state welcome during his visit to Bahrain's Ministry of Interior on Monday.

Sultan Ibrahim's motorcade arrived at the Ministry’s compound accompanied by personnel from Bahrain's mounted police.

Accompanying His Majesty were Tunku Temenggong Johor Tunku Idris Iskandar Sultan Ibrahim and the rest of the Johor royal entourage.

Sultan Ibrahim was warmly welcomed by Shaikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the personal representative of the Bahraini King.

Also present were Bahrain’s Interior Minister Lt. Gen. Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa.

The state anthem of Johor was played and verses of the Quran were read upon the ruler’s arrival.

This was followed by a march past by almost 900 police force officers and personnel, and other uniformed enforcement agencies under the Ministry.

Shaikh Rashid said that the Ministry is committed to strengthening ties with allies across the world to ensure Bahrain's future security.
