KUALA LUMPUR: According to an alert issued by the Malaysian Meteorological Department on its Facebook page, the inclement weather is forecasted for the early part of the day, lasting until late morning.
Worst-affected states are Perlis, Kedah (Kubang Pasu, Padang Terang, Sik and Baling) and Perak (Hulu Perak).
Pahang (Pekan and Kuantan), Kelantan (Tumpat, Pasir Mas, Kota Baru, Bachok, Pasir Puteh, Machang, Tanah Merah and Jeli) are also affected.
Meanwhile, Terengganu (Besut, Setiu, Kuala Nerus, Kuala Terengganu, Marang, Dungun and Kemaman) has been issued the same alert.
Strong winds of 50 kph, forming waves of up to 3.5 meters are expected along Terengganu’s coast.
