KUALA LUMPUR: Kelantan, Terengganu, Pahang and Johor residents can expect heavy rain beginning this Thursday.
The Malaysian Meteorological Department in a statement said lightning, heavy rain and strong winds are expected to occur at several districts in the affected states, until Saturday.
In Pahang, the bad weather are expected in Rompin, Pekan, Jerantut, Kuantan, Maran and Temerloh while in Johor, similar conditions are expected in Segamat, Mersing and Kota Tinggi.
In Kelantan, Tumpat, Pasir Mas, Kota Baru, Bachok, Machang and Pasir Puteh were listed as districts to be affected by heavy rain.
The alert was issued by the department on its website at 1.30pm today.
