KUALA LUMPUR: Datuk Sheila Majid has been advised against being a propaganda tool for the Opposition and feeding the people with misleading facts.
The Prime Minister’s special officer, Datuk Rizal Mansor said the Barisan Nasional government led by Datuk Seri Najib Razak had always been working hard for the betterment of the people.
“No government would want to see their people suffer.The prime ministeris working hard to bring in investments, to increase job opportunities, strengthen the Ringgit and also reduce the rising cost of living through various initiatives such as the 1Malaysia People's Aid (BR1M).
“As a veteran artiste, you (Sheila) should know that when it comes to issues related to the economy, many factors are out of the government’s control,” he said in a statement in his Facebook page.
He said tickets to Sheila's recent concert, "Sheila Majid: The Concert Kl 2017", would not have been sold out if her fans, who are mostly middle aged, were struggling.
“You are the nation’s jazz queen and many consider you a legend. But do you think they (your fans) could afford to buy your concert tickets priced at RM888 each if the country’s economy was not good."
