KOTA KINABALU: The state Meteorology Department has given the all-clear for the public to usher in the New Year at beaches in the state.
Its director Azemi Daud said that the weather forecast for Saturday to Wednesday is fair and safe for beachgoers.
“However, rain and thunderstorms are expected in one or two places in the interior, and the west coast of Sabah until Jan 4.
“Kudat and Sandakan might experience similar conditions until Jan 2,” he added.
